Fresh off her highly streamed EP Heartbreak On Repeat and its hit collab “Fix This” featuring Bryce Vine, Olivia’s star is undeniably on the rise.

First off, how have you been since we last chatted?
I’ve been so well! So incredibly busy!! Been to Europe twice on tour ad back! <3
“City of Angels” explores both the glamour and challenges of life in Los Angeles. What inspired you to write this song, and how does it reflect your own experiences in LA?
City of Angels” is my love letter to Los Angeles. It captures the journey over the past year since moving to the city. LA can feel both vibrant and isolating and has truly pushed me to grow in ways I hadn’t imagined. This song is about finding beauty in the contrasts and navigating the bittersweet nature of a city that both gives and takes. The beauty of songwriting is you can play a character and draw from personal experience but also enhance those experiences in a fantasy-type way. This song is a great example of that!
The track has a moody, edgy vibe. Can you tell us more about the sound and creative direction you wanted to capture with this single?
This single foreshadows the new Olivia Lunny era I’m about to embark on! It feels super authentic and is slightly darker sonically then music I have put out in the past. The new Album bends genres and dips into indie/rock, folk/country, as someone who grew up writing Folk songs first, this record feels perfectly me.
You’ve worked with big names like Bryce Vine on “Fix This,” which was a major success. How has collaborating with other artists influenced your growth as a performer?
It’s been so incredible to work with such established artists. I always absorb like a sponge specifically when I get to see others creative process’. It was very cool to see Bryce in his element in the studio and how quick he was to improvise parts of the song etc!
Opening for artists like Ellie Goulding and Loreen across Europe must have been incredible! What was the most memorable part of that experience for you?
Touring Europe last year, opening for Ellie Goulding and Loreen was an all-time career highlight. I got to meet and form so many fans as well as play my very first arena show in Lithuania! I will forever hold those tours in my heart!
Your sophomore album is highly anticipated. How does “City of Angels” fit into the broader theme or sound of the upcoming project?
This album feels like 5 years in the making.. It actually kind of is too. I wrote down the Album title as an ideas when I was 16 and stumbled across it last year. This album combines my singer-songwriter Folk Roots, with the styles of music I’ve been loving alt,indie,pop etc. Its the truest representation of me to date! I cannot wait to share with everyone.. stay tuned!
