Parvati The Art Pixie is a transgender and disabled multidisciplinary artist from Brampton, Ontario. She is a songwriter, producer, and composer, having been making music since she was 16. She makes music based on the stories that she writes, often about mental health, gender, and trauma.
She has announced the release of her upcoming album and book, Hum Ek Hain, coming on December 22, 2023.

First off, what have you been up to since last we talked?
A lot of writing, including poetry and short stories! I’ve also been working on new music, which is how the album came to be.
Tell us how your upcoming book and album came to be.
Most of this was stuff I was thinking about during a food poisoning in early August. And once I got better, I started to create. First the first 6 tracks, then a book cover, then the book, and then 3 songs, and then I rearranged a little.
You have already unveiled the first single, “Shadow” from your upcoming album, Hum Ek Hain. What can listeners expect from the rest of the album?
A similar sound. Much of the album is based on Bollywood scores. and stuff I used to watch when I was young. The book originally started as a movie in my head, similar to the Bollywood Movies I used to watch. I wanted to make the score. The book and album do not share the exact same story.
As a phenomenal artist, is the artwork in the book all by you?
Yes! All of the art is by me, although most of my future plans involve more artists. Most of that was because this was my debut book. My next book has more than me, and I’m hoping to take more back seats.
Who came first, Parvati the music creator Parvati the artist?
I have no idea 😂 When I was younger, I used to love watching my family sing, and I sang with a boy (who I almost immediately fell in love with) in a talent show. I also loved Bollywood movies, and I always wanted to score one. Art came out of making storyboards for movies that I came up with.
Last but not least, what do you have planned for 2024?
I have a project for an animation with an animator. I will also be starting a Patreon soon and doing commissions! I have plans for what I can do with that. I also plan to model a bit. Not for long, but it was fun 😊 but I had super bad anxiety after. Of course, I have music planned! Two EPs, a few singles, and an album/book, with a few artists in mind for the art in the book.I hope y’all enjoy the book and album!
