Vancouver Pop Artist TiANYU Releases Her Latest Single “REALiTY”
Vancouver-based Chinese-Canadian pop artist TiANYU has unveiled her latest single, “REALiTY”, which combines alternative R&B with pop sensibilities to create a reflective track that explores the feeling of wanting to be positive and find the silver lining in things while knowing in the back of your mind that the reality is something completely different.
The track was written and produced by TiANYU who is also an internationally acclaimed concert pianist, actor, and model.
Speaking on the track TiANYU says,
“The track is about trying to search for the light and direction when knowing that sometimes the reality sucks a little.”

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
I am currently based in Vancouver. I’m a concert pianist, actor, music producer and model. I started classical piano training at a very young age and since then I have played hundreds of concerts across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Jerusalem Music Centre, and Barcelona Arts Centre to name a few. Throughout covid, I started pursuing an acting career as well as developing my passion for music producing and songwriting.
Tell us a bit about your most recent release.
It’s about life where “we are trying to search for the light and direction while knowing that sometimes reality sucks a little”. The lyrics kind of dive deep into a complex realm of emotions where things can have different sides and all listeners may depict them differently.
Where do you tend to pull inspiration from when writing?
It varies. Mostly from life in general and also could be how I’m feeling at that moment… I tend to not set a frame of how I get inspiration. It’s hard to explain in words.
Do you have any upcoming shows you’d like to tell us about?
I currently don’t have any upcoming shows but hopefully soon.
What’s your goal for 2023?
Produce more music!
