TD Halifax Jazz Festival
Day 2: July 12, 2023
Featuring Shaggy & Jah’Mila
Wednesday night we kicked off Day 2 of Halifax Jazz Festival, Waterfront stage with Jah’Mila and Shaggy.
While both artists hail from Kingston, Jamaica, Shaggy’s family moved to Brooklyn, NY in his teens, while Jah’Mila moved to Halifax, NS.
Both sets of the night were hit after hit of amazing reggae beats and sounds.
Jah’Mila‘s strong and powerful voice and engaging personality are a joy to witness on stage! Her band sounded amazing and the show was a fantastic treat to watch from start to finish.
Shaggy was the headliner of the night and performed to a sold-out crowd. the energy presented on stage was reciprocated in kind by all the fans dancing and singing along, and waving all the Jamaican flags.
The night may have been hot, but the entertainment was hotter!
