RUBY WATERS UNVEILS DEBUT ALBUM, WHAT’S THE POINT

WATERS KICKS OFF HER EUROPEAN TOUR ON JUNE 4TH IN BIRMINGHAM, UK

JUNO Award-nominated, alternative artist Ruby Waters releases her debut full-length album, What’s The Point via Wet Records. Written over the past year and a half, Waters rented a cabin near the Sea-to-Sky Highway in British Columbia, built a studio in it with some pals, and poured herself into the writing process.

No stranger to pushing boundaries with her music, Waters has put together a collection of songs that gives listeners a ride in the passenger seat of her life, allowing them to connect with her on a deeper level.

“This album is really allowing me to grow and shed some old skin- I hope it does the same for others,” shares Waters. “The title What’s The Point is just a reminder that we’re constantly on a tightrope between the two opposing sides of life, having meaning or having no meaning at all. I think it’s okay to walk towards different sides of that tightrope day to day, and I think it’s good to remember that two things can be true at once. I hope this album feels like a big comforting hug to whoever needs one!”

Recorded in Whistler, Squamish, and Toronto, What’s The Point was produced by long-time friend and collaborator, Sam Willows (The Beaches, MICO, Tasha Angela), with tracks on it produced by Harper, TJ Whitlaw, and Mido.

Having previously sold-out London, Manchester, and Paris in 2023, Waters will return to Europe for a 14-date run, kicking her tour off in Birmingham, UK on June 4th and festival performances at Pinkpop, Southside, and Hurricane Festival. This fall will see her headline the 29-date North American, What’s The Point Tour that will kick-off with two nights in Victoria, BC and take her across the U.S. and Canada with stops in Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Austin, Nashville, Boston, New York and more.
