International Artist Spotlight #2 – Bluegirl
Artist: Bluegirl
From: London, England
Genre: Alternative Pop / Indie Pop
Featured Release: “Look At All The Happy People”
Meet the Artist
London-based alt-pop artist Bluegirl makes an impressive entrance with her debut single, “Look At All The Happy People,” released October 23 via Capitol UK/Darkroom Records. Having previously worked behind the scenes creating music for other artists, the singer-songwriter and producer is now stepping into the spotlight with a sound entirely her own.
A true hands-on artist, Bluegirl writes, produces, and performs all her music herself. Her debut single was already attracting attention before its official release, with an early SoundCloud demo surpassing 66,000 plays in less than a month and a preview even catching the attention of Courtney Love.
Why We’re Listening
“Look At All The Happy People” captures the complicated emotions of loneliness, existential uncertainty, and the desire for human connection, wrapping them in a surprisingly euphoric alt-pop sound.
“This song is a plea for connection,” Bluegirl explains, describing the track as an exploration of the human experience and the search for something greater.
There’s something intriguing about music that can make you want to dance while simultaneously questioning everything around you. With its contrast of introspective lyrics and uplifting energy, “Look At All The Happy People” introduces an artist who knows how to turn big emotions into captivating pop music.

International Artist Spotlight #3 – Dove Cameron
Artist: Dove Cameron
From: United States
Genre: Pop / Alternative Pop
Featured Release: “do the math”
Meet the Artist
Multi-platinum singer-songwriter and Emmy Award-winning actress Dove Cameron continues her musical evolution with “do the math,” released October 23 via Columbia Records. The emotionally charged single serves as the second preview of her highly anticipated debut album, FINAL GIRL, arriving November 6.
With more than 5.5 billion worldwide audio streams and hits including the double-platinum “Boyfriend” and gold-certified “Breakfast,” Cameron has established herself as a force in pop music. Following the success of September’s “when in rome,” she’s preparing for another exciting chapter, including 13 North American shows supporting sombr’s You Are The Reason Tour, beginning November 6.
Why We’re Listening
“do the math” strips things back, allowing Cameron’s powerful vocals and emotionally charged lyrics to take centre stage. Built around a dramatic piano-ballad arrangement, the track showcases a more vulnerable side of the singer while maintaining the intensity that has become a signature of her evolving sound.
Co-written by Cameron alongside Evan Blair, Mark Schick, and Tyler Spry, the single offers a compelling glimpse into the emotional depth of FINAL GIRL. With its heartfelt delivery and striking simplicity, “do the math” proves that sometimes the most powerful musical moments come from letting the voice and lyrics speak for themselves.
