Edmonton folk-rock collective Rosina Cove explore healing, resilience, and rediscovering yourself on their latest single, “Don’t Forget,” ahead of their January 2027 album Left Of Me.
Edmonton, Alberta modern folk-rock collective Rosina Cove continue building anticipation for their upcoming album, Left Of Me, with the release of their expansive new single, “Don’t Forget.” Following their previous release, “Kenwood,” the track offers another heartfelt glimpse into the band’s evolving sound and their exploration of healing, resilience, and personal transformation.
Built around the core trio of Peter Stone (lead vocals/guitar), Vicky Berg (vocals), and Drew Malcolm (lead guitar), Rosina Cove blend bright jangle-pop melodies with cinematic folk-rock arrangements and expressive harmonies. Their music captures the warmth of classic Canadiana while embracing a bold, atmospheric sound.
Rosina Cove Don’t Forget – A Song About Healing and Rediscovery
“‘Don’t Forget’ continues the theme of healing and returning to self that ‘Kenwood’ introduced,” the band explains. “At its centre is a reminder to hold on to your sense of self through periods of change and to stay close to the people who recognize and hold space for who you are.”
Rather than presenting healing as a complete reinvention, Rosina Cove explore the idea of rediscovering the parts of ourselves that remain beneath life’s challenges.
“Rebuilding isn’t always about becoming someone new, but rediscovering the parts of yourself you may have lost along the way,” the group shares.
The message reflects the broader themes of Left Of Me, an album shaped by experiences of change, loss, love, and reconnection.
A Bigger Sound for Left Of Me
Following their 2023 debut album, Someday We Will Make It There, Rosina Cove have expanded their musical approach with the help of producer Harry Gregg, also a member of JUNO-nominated Second Hand Dreamcar.
Remarkably, Left Of Me was recorded live off the floor, allowing the band’s natural chemistry and musicianship to shine through.
For Stone, who previously co-fronted the folk duo 100 Mile House, Rosina Cove has evolved from a casual creative outlet into his primary means of artistic expression.
“Rosina Cove started out as a place to escape, a place to hang out with friends and play simple songs,” Stone explains. “Over the past few years it’s become a lot more.”
Drawing inspiration from artists such as The War On Drugs, the band embraces sweeping arrangements, emotional honesty, and a sound that feels both intimate and expansive.
An Album Rooted in Resilience
At its heart, Left Of Me explores the complicated nature of healing and the understanding that personal growth rarely follows a straight path.
Moving through themes of memory, family, fear, love, and reconnection, the album reflects the experiences its members have navigated in recent years.
With “Don’t Forget,” Rosina Cove offer another meaningful preview of what’s to come, pairing their signature harmonies and cinematic instrumentation with a message of hope and self-discovery.
