Chad Brownlee shares video for new single, “The Country Kind”

Chad Brownlee is back in the saddle with the release of his latest single and music video for “The Country Kind”

It’s been quite the journey for JUNO nominee, CCMA Award-winning and chart-topping Canadian country artist Chad Brownlee. After a few transformative years, right now is the perfect time for him to step out from the shadows and embark on this new chapter of his life and career with the release of “The Country Kind” via The Orchard.

Of the single, Brownlee shares.

““The Country Kind” is a “back to your roots” anthem for all those lovers of nature, the simple life, and good ol’ country music. This song is a sincere tip of the hat to a few of the legends that have paved the way before us, like Patsy Cline, Charlie Pride, WIllie Nelson and more. I felt this was the perfect first song to kick things off with. It’s simple, honest and from the heart. Just a few chords and the truth!”

On October 18, Brownlee released the music video for his captivating new single “The Country Kind.” Produced by Dave “Dwave” Thomson (Lady A, The Washboard Union, High Valley), “The Country Kind” blends traditional country instrumentation with modern production and catchy hooks that draw the listener in. As the song unfolds, Brownlee’s emotive vocals shine, delivering lyrics that explore the deep connection to one’s roots.

Filmed and directed by Ethan Burke, the music video transports viewers to the picturesque landscape of British Columbia, where Brownlee immerses himself in the simple pleasures of country living. Against this stunning backdrop, the video unfolds as a visual ode to the joys found in embracing nature and savouring life’s precious moments. Each scene paints a vivid picture of the simple yet profound pleasures that come with embracing a life immersed in the beauty of the country.

Of the music video, Brownlee says,

“Shooting the music video for “The Country Kind” was really special to me because it was all about getting back to my roots. Being surrounded by nature, alongside the love of my life and my favourite four-legged friend, made it a moment I will never forget! Shot in the Okanagan Valley where I was born and raised, director Ethan Burke did an amazing job of capturing my ultimate happy place. I hope everyone enjoys this video as much as I enjoyed making it!”
