Tonight was a metal extravaganza in Laval, with Megadeth and Bullet For My Valentine bringing their Crush The World Tour!
Following an opening set by ONI, Welsh heavy metal band Bullet For My Valentine riled up the crowd with a set heavy on the strobes and moody lighting, with plenty of crowdsurfing and circle pits happening in the audience!
Shortly after 9pm, the main act of the night plastered their names on the big screen, Megadeth arrived on stage to a thunder of screams. The US thrash metal legends put on a highly visual show, with a backdrop of bright, colourful screens. Most band members are now in their 50s to 60s (with frontman Dave Mustaine being the last member from the original formation), but you do not feel it as they all rock out and pace around the stage, exchanging spots in an almost choreographed fashion. Hiding behind his long curly locks, Mustaine manages to command the stage all while rarely showing his face, which is quite impressive! From the Hangar 18 opening number all the way to the encores Mechanix and Holy Wars… The Punishment Due, the band rocks out with the crowd, showing everyone how one of the Big 4 gets it done.
