Montreal, QC-based songwriter/ multi-instrumentalist, Jon Cohen Experimental has teamed up with us at Canadian Beats to unveil a video for his newest single, “Lorem Ipsum” from his new electronic pop album of the same name. The single is the third to be released from Lorem Ipsum, following “Rhode Island” and “Rocket To Mars”.
“Lorem Ipsum – the words that are everywhere and nowhere. JC Ex’s video is both everything and nothing as the musician explores space and groove in a series of sparse and indefinable scenes. The video (edited by Jesse Daniel Smith) is a brilliant collage of footage, of surreal imagery and of Jon singing alongside several different objects, all cleverly woven together to spin a surrealist moment in the artists musical, just plain ol fun.”
Speaking of the album, it is the first electronic album of its kind in Canada, recorded almost entirely inside Jon’s iPhone. The eight tracks are an eclectic mix of musical genres including electronic EDM, synthpop, and danse.
