Dailla Unleashes Bold Dance-Pop “Twisted Heart” (Interview)

Dailla turns heartbreak into glittering confessionals — fearless, flirty, and impossible to ignore.

Represented by Decent Music PR, emerging from the alt-pop underground with a signature blend of confidence, vulnerability, and sonic allure, Dailla is quickly carving her space in the pop landscape. With an unapologetic edge and undeniable hooks, she delivers music that feels like a late-night confession set to a glittering beat. “Twisted Heart” follows a string of buzzworthy singles that have marked Dailla as one to watch.

Set to captivative audiences with her electrifying new single “Twisted Heart”, the song is bursting with emotional duality, dancefloor-ready energy, and fearless vulnerability, “Twisted Heart” is a magnetic anthem for anyone who’s ever been entangled in a love they knew was dangerous — and dove in anyway.

Driven by pulsing beats, rhythmic guitars, and infectious pop hooks, “Twisted Heart” explores the messy thrill of toxic attraction. It’s playful, it’s confessional, and it doesn’t hold back. The chorus—”Stepping on my twisted heart”—lands like a gut-punch dressed in glitter, capturing that bittersweet tug-of-war between pain and passion.

Built on a modern dance-pop foundation, the track leans into bold, flirty lyricism (“Oh la la”) while showcasing Dailla’s ear for addictive melodies and emotional nuance. There’s a raw honesty beneath the shimmer—a celebration of resilience, chaos, and the untamed parts of us that crave both risk and release.

First off, care to introduce yourself to our readers?

Hi, I’m Dailla. Thank you very much for having me. I’m a singer-songwriter blending pop with touches of rock and cinematic elements. Music has always been a safe space for me. As a teenager I would sit behind the piano and write about things I didn’t want to say out loud, and I remember thinking how cool it was that a song could hold all of that. That hasn’t changed—music is still the place where I can talk about the messy, complicated parts of life and maybe help someone else feel less alone in theirs.

“Twisted Heart” is such a bold, confessional track. What personal experiences or emotions fueled the lyrics?

“Twisted Heart” came from that space where you know something is dangerous for you, but the pull is stronger than reason. I’ve definitely been in those “been there, done that” situations. What makes the song powerful for me is the paradox—it’s about something dark and destructive, but we turned it into a dance track.

The chorus—“Stepping on my twisted heart”—feels like both a gut-punch and a glittery anthem. How did you balance that pain-versus-pleasure duality in the writing process?

That paradox was everything. On one hand, the lyrics are very confessional, but on the other, the music feels like release. I think sometimes what people need isn’t to cry themselves to sleep—it’s to scream, sing, and dance it out. That’s what I hope “Twisted Heart” does: it takes something fragile and painful and turns it into a moment of energy and power.

When you’re building a song like “Twisted Heart,” do you start with melody, beat, or lyrics first?

This one was actually born in the studio with Marcell. He was jamming on the guitar, and when the melody for the bridge came in, I instantly thought that this has potential. From there, the lyrics and melodies started to unfold naturally, and the whole track grew around that spark.

You’ve already been called “one to watch.” How do you handle that kind of momentum and expectation at this stage of your career?

It’s so exciting—I honestly love it. I can’t wait to share more new music and show the direction I’m heading in. I feel like we’re in for such a ride, and I’m just looking forward to meeting all the amazing people along the way. That’s the part that keeps me motivated: knowing these songs are slowly building a community.

Can fans expect a larger project soon—a full EP or album—or are you focused on continuing to drop singles that stand on their own?

I don’t want to spoil too much just yet, but more songs and projects are definitely on the horizon. Right now, I love creating these little worlds around each single—the music, the visuals, the stories—and giving them their own space. Over time they might start connecting into something bigger, but I also enjoy keeping a bit of mystery and letting things unfold naturally.
