Stan Rogers Folk Festival announces line up for Stanfest Roadshow throughout Guysborough Country and main festival in Canso, Nova Scotia, July 21-27
Paying tribute to Stan Rogers’ legacy, Canada’s Songwriter Festival, the Stan Rogers Folk Festival (Stanfest) is pleased to announce its full line up for the second annual Stanfest Roadshow throughout Guysborough Country and the 28th edition of the main festival in Canso, Nova Scotia, July 21-27.
“The Stan Rogers Folk Festival has grown from the much-loved, weekend camping event, to a seven-day, folk music extravaganza!” says Steve MacIntyre, Artistic Director. “Starting on July 21, the Stanfest Roadshow touches down in seven communities across Guysborough County, giving fans the perfect reason to come earlier and stay longer. Running for three days ahead of the festival, this series celebrates the rich cultural diversity of the region and culminates with a artist packed kick-off concert on our festival main stage on Thursday evening. This is just the start! There is a full weekend of music ahead in Canso on the festival grounds and in nearby community venues. With over 50 artists and a rich diversity of genres and styles of music, there is something for everyone.”
The Stanfest Roadshow will present nine concerts, over three days in seven communities leading up to the main festival in Canso. Performers include:
