On Friday, March 31, 2023, The Lemonheads played a sold-out show at the Phoenix Concert Theatre accompanied by The Nils and Rusty.
Long-running Montreal punk rock band, The Nils, opened with a sweet set of songs introducing the Toronto crowd to a taste of their newest EP release, Five Roses.
Rusty, the punk rock that formed in Toronto in the early nighties, performed as if no time had gone by. Ken Macneil used every inch of the stage to rock out and sing hits alongside guitarist Scott McCullough.
The Lemonheads played an extraordinarily unique show the crowd won’t soon forget. In 2022 The Lemonheads released a 30th Anniversary edition of their well-loved It’s a Shame About Ray album. Their music over the last three decades was celebrated by Evan Dando in his own punkish way on this night.
