Brett Kissel is a multi-platinum, three-time JUNO Award-winning artist and is the premier entertainer in Canadian country music with a decade of success under his hat. He’s celebrating his success with an ambitious collection titled The Compass Project. Comprised of four full-length albums, the first installment, South Album, is set for release on January 27.
This compilation marks the stepping into a new era for Kissel’s career, and he’s ready to unveil (and ROCK) what this next chapter brings.
Kissel reveals,

South Album features trademark Brett Kissel-style singles such as 2022’s collaboration with 98 Degrees “Ain’t The Same,” the sentimental radio hit “Watch It,” and his Alberta proud “Our Home.” The 11-track album is rounded out with seven brand new original songs and one rockin’ cover of Bruce Springsteen’s / Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Cadillac Ranch” to encapsulate the best of modern country.

On the next three albums that are part of The Compass Project, Kissel proves his brilliance when it comes to his artistry. He dives deep with his follow-up album – East Album. It’s the most-intimate record Kissel has ever released. A collection of stripped-down, heartfelt, acoustic songs, this coastal-inspired album demonstrates a new level of vulnerability and emotional depth from Kissel as a songwriter. He’ll then be pointing the compass to West Album, born from Kissel’s deep-rooted family heritage as a fifth-generation Albertan and his love for traditional country western music. And finally, The Compass Project will be completed with the release of North Album, a true ode to Kissel’s love of entertaining, and a thank you to fans for their support over the past decade. The release will be comprised of high-energy live recordings of some of Kissel’s greatest hits.
