Julian Daniel Spins a Late-Night Love Story on Shimmering New Indie Pop Single “7:11”
Emerging indie-pop artist Julian Daniel, hailing from Maple, Ontario, and now splitting his time between Toronto and LA, returns with “7:11,” a shimmering new single that captures the electricity of late-night encounters and the soft glow of possibility. Known for fusing meaningful lyrics with upbeat instrumentals, Julian continues to explore a fresh intersection of indie pop and rock, drawing inspiration from artists like Charli XCX, Troye Sivan, and Gus Dapperton.
“‘7:11’ is a song about the after-hours of a night out. The club is closed but the night is far from over, leading you down the aisles of a fluorescent convenience store paradise with the muse of the dance floor,” Julian shares. “From shots to slurpees, and from slurpees to the rest of your life – you hope it’s not just the alcohol talking, but if it is, then the alcohol is a wise man. It welcomes in a new era for my music: pop mixed with sensuality, dance, and medicine for the young 20-something soul.”
Since debuting in 2019, Julian Daniel has released over 20 tracks, including the viral hit “Lemontree,” which garnered attention from The Chainsmokers. Often exploring themes like love, growing up, and life’s hidden thrills, Julian approaches songwriting like a director storyboarding vivid, cinematic scenes – crafting songs that feel equally nostalgic and daringly modern.
His live performances transform him into a bigger-than-life version of himself, showcasing a charismatic, flamboyant energy that has captivated audiences at venues like The Great Hall in Toronto and The Peppermint Club in Los Angeles. As he continues to build his profile as a proudly Canadian artist, Julian Daniel pushes the boundaries of indie pop with every new release.
