Cumberland BC’s Coal Dust Gang Shares Their Self-Titled EP, Coal Dust Gang
Cumberland, BC-based Coal Dust Gang has unveiled their self-titled EP, Coal Dust Gang, which consists of six road-tested songs that have been burning up the dance floor at bars, community halls, and festivals. This ain’t the cookie-cutter, over-produced, Nashville algorithm, country radio sound. This is boot stompin, honky tonkin, tire queelin, bike jumpin, pig roastin, hell raisin, babe kissin, big time country. Can I get a hell yea?
The gang recorded at their buddy, Ronny’s studio in a back alley behind the liquor store and got it mixed at Sud Ouest Recording Service in Montreal, and mastered at Suite Sound Labs in Vancouver.
The Coal Dust Gang have been dialing in their sound at some of the north island’s biggest festivals including Quadrapalooza, Woodstove Fest, Cumberland Wild, and the Filberg Fest. They played their first show during the lockdown at an underground party to a bunch of lawbreakers.
Coal Dust Gang follows up the band’s first release, an EP called Dodgy Country.
