Canadian indie-pop singer-songwriter Joey Tyler has unveiled his new single, “Taking Over Me”.
Joey shares,
“Taking Over Me” encapsulates my 17 year old self… I bought my first car (98’ Blue Honda) and I was driving back home after visiting my girlfriend. (Still together after 13 years. (High school sweethearts). The feeling was so particular, and memorable. That 10 years later, when I started writing this song, it brought me right back to those days.”
The base production of the song was created by Joey and the rest was constructed through zoom sessions and phone calls with a couple of producers.
“The whole goal with this song was to create an immediate feeling/vibe that gives the feeling of Driving down the coast. Sunset. Windows down…”
Joey took a short hiatus, but he’s back and ready to released 11 singles throughout 2022, so be sure to stay tuned to his socials for more information on that.
