Care to introduce yourself to our readers?:

Greetings Canada, We are Goodbye Apollo. Our mission is to write banging rock tunes that you’ll want to move to… so let’s have some fun.

Tell us a bit about your music and writing style

Everyone in the band is a writer and an artist; no leaders, no egos, no specific “sound”. It is a creative atmosphere where all ideas are on the table with an aim of making every song its best – “the cream will rise to the top”. We draw inspiration from all styles of music and we encourage ourselves to write good music, whatever the genre may be.

How have you been keeping creative during the pandemic?

There haven’t been many live show opportunities to create that one big impact to kick-start our group – so we focused our efforts on creating music videos to get our faces and names out there. So far the response has been great and we look forward to future opportunities.

If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?

“Outta Town” is a foot stomper that captures our band’s essence – no fluff, all banger.

Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/ artists?

Too many to name, we have a lot of respect for everyone making a go at music in the Canadian scene. But we will give a shout out to a local star; Alan Doyle – he’s transcended genres of music; putting out hit songs in folk, rock, pop, country. He seems to be creatively free – which is something we truly aspire to be.
