Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hi everyone, I’m Kyler Tapscott
Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.
My music is an eclectic mix of RnB, folk, rock, and pop. It almost always starts with a melody or a chord progression and then it builds from there.
Do you have any upcoming shows?
No, unfortunately as quarantine still persists there are no live shows. However, if you follow my Facebook and Instagram account “kylertapscottmusic” I will be doing some live streams where I’ll play, talk about guitar, give guitar lessons and talk about the secrets of the universe over the next few weeks.
If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?
I would say Fire, it was the first song I released and it was my transition into a solo career.
Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/ artists?
I’ve been a big fan of the Bros Landreth and Ariel Posen, great songwriting, and deadly guitar playing.
