Montreal’s International Jazz Festival will be returning for its 41st edition all over Montreal from June 25th to July 4th 2020! Back in November, the festival revealed the first wave of its lineup, with exciting shows from Walk off the Earth, Charlie Cunningham, Soran, Bebel Gilberto and many more!
Yesterday, the festival teased more names, ranging from prestigious artists to up-and-coming sensations! There will be something for every tastes, starting with Jazz legends such as Jack DeJohnette, Ravi Coltrane, John Scofield, and Dave Holland, to hybrid bands such as The Bad Plus and The Cinematic Orchestra.
Afrobeats fans will dance to the rhythms of KOKOROKO, while reggae enthusiasts will not want to miss Jamaican singer Protoje. Legendary guitarist Taj Mahal will be making his triumphant return to the festival, while The Barr Brothers will team up with Les Filles de Illighadad for an evening of West African-inspired blues. People from France will be in for a treat, with Woodkid‘s grand return to the stage (after an electric closing performance 5 years ago), and feel-good DJ Petit Biscuit.
To view the lineup so far, visit the festival’s website. Tickets go on sale Friday February 7th at 10am EST. For the rest of the lineup and the outdoors programmation, stay tuned!
