When: May 9, 2019
Where: The Burdock, Toronto ON

Jadea Kelly, who’s is from Whitby, Ontario demonstrated her folk-soul sound at The Burdock in Toronto.  Releasing her new EP Bad Like Me, a charming collection, and being awarded 2019’s Best Score & Music by The International Documentary awards for her forthcoming soundtrack for the Met While Incarcerated the Independent Film.

Now residing in Los Angeles, California, Kelly has developed her sound over the years, and brings a sweet, warm, prairie harmony.  Proving that she can hold her own onstage, Jadea gave a glimpse of her abilities as an artist; and is an engaging performer, with a sweet clear tone.

Kennedy Road – Opening the night for Jadea, with two shows, Shelia Carabine and Brian MacMillan, graced us with some grit and gravel. They both lived on two different Kennedy roads at one point in their lives, and now combined, their road leads them to serve up Folk, Singer-songwriter vibes, and present a smooth harmony. With humour and stories behind each song, Kennedy Road is an intriguing journey in music.
