HARDY
FEBRUARY 5th, 2026
TRIBUTE COMMUNITIES CENTRE, OSHAWA, ON
I’ll be honest: driving all the way from Montreal to Oshawa just to see HARDY for the first time might sound wild… but totally worth it, I would’ve driven twice the distance. The Country Country Tour’s opening night at the Tribute Communities Centre on February 5th was nothing short of electric. HARDY didn’t just perform—he blew the doors off the place.

Opening Acts That Really Opened Things Up
The night kicked off with McCoy Moore, who set the tone with a solid, confident performance. But then came Cameron Whitcomb, and this guy absolutely stole the show. Between spontaneous backflips, insane energy, and that ridiculously charming personality, he showed exactly why he’s one to watch.
He even performed “You and Me” live for the very first time—a cool moment to witness. And when he launched into “Quitter” and “Medusa,” the raw power and emotion in the room shifted. From an opener, that’s impressive.

A Campfire Moment With Thousands of People
When the lights dimmed and HARDY walked onstage, I expected something big—but I didn’t expect him to be sitting quietly on a bench beside a fire, gently easing us into“Bottomland.”
It was intimate. It was beautiful. And it was the perfect way to pull every single person in the arena straight into his world.
Then, with zero warning, he catapulted the energy right back up, flowing into “Country Country” as he emerged from atop hunting blinds. The crowd went wild, and the night officially shifted into overdrive.

A 21‑Song Rocket of a Setlist
For the first show of the tour, HARDY came prepared. His 21‑song set felt like a full-scale roller coaster—loud, emotional, rowdy, introspective, and absolutely explosive.
You could tell he was having a blast too—especially during “SIGNED, SOBER YOU.” At one point, he even admitted he was shocked at how loudly the crowd was singing his songs back to him:
“That’s never happened,” he grinned.
Trust me, the Oshawa crowd took that as a challenge and only got louder.
“Psycho” was another standout. Dark, gritty, and so good live that I actually caught myself holding my breath through part of it.

A Walk Among the People
And then came “God’s Country.” Even though he wrote it for Blake Shelton, it felt like HARDY reclaimed it in front of us. He hopped off the stage and did a full lap around the floor—shaking hands, smiling, connecting.
It wasn’t just a performance; it was a moment—a genuine reminder of how much he appreciates his fans.

Pyro, Power, and One Massive Finale
The production was top‑tier all night, but the encore took things to a different level. When“Jim Bob” hit, the pyro erupted like a small volcano—massive fireballs, perfectly timed bursts, the whole arena lighting up in orange and gold.
I almost walked out thinking the only thing missing was “Truck Bed.” I kept waiting… and then suddenly, there it was. The final song. The perfect ending. The crowd absolutely detonated.
And it was so worth the wait.

Final Thoughts
This wasn’t just a concert—it was an experience, an event, and honestly, one of the most unforgettable shows I’ve ever attended. The road trip from Montreal? Worth every kilometer.
If the opening night looked like this, the rest of the Country Country Tour is going to be insane.
And me? I’m already thinking about when I can see HARDY again.
