Hamilton, Ontario’s The Dirty Nil fire back with “Fail in Time,” the latest single off their upcoming fifth album, The Lash, out this Friday, the 25th, via Dine Alone Records. “Fail in Time” is a perfect example of The Lash’s stripped-down, black-and-white approach: raw, loud, and refreshingly bleak. Edmonton-based pop-folk artist Caylie G (they/she) has released their new single “Brenda Heather Kelly,” a biting, glitter-drenched anthem for anyone who’s ever ghosted a party via fake phone call. Cowessess First Nation singer-songwriter (Uncle) Trent Agecoutay unveils his latest single, “The Devil,” a hypnotic and emotionally rich track that captures the haunting beauty of forbidden connection. Based in Calgary, Alberta, and raised in Red Deer, Agecoutay once again draws from his deep storytelling roots to deliver a song that echoes long after the final note. Recently, Big Wreck, the Canadian rock powerhouse, announced their highly anticipated new album The Rest of the Story, set for release on October 24, 2025, via Sonic Unyon Records. Recorded at Noble Street Studios, the album was written, composed, and co-produced by frontman Ian Thornley, alongside acclaimed producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Deftones, Evanescence, Alice in Chains).
