Some Hearts is the debut album from BELFOUNTAIN, the fresh indie-folk-rock project fronted by singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and JUNO Award-winning producer Chris Graham. Some Hearts is an authentic, roots-inspired collection that provides an earthy mix of old and new, always familiar yet full of surprises.

The album begins with two previous singles, “Give It Up” and “Tell Me When It Rains,” which together have garnered over 40K streams on Spotify.

Give It Up” begins with introspective lyrics that reflect life’s delicate balance, urging listeners to “give it up, give it up, give it up now,” and embrace the moment amidst uncertainties. Its rhythmic flow and heartfelt vocals convey urgency and strength, resonating deeply with those navigating challenges with unwavering determination.

Tell Me When It Rains” captures a sense of uncertainty and longing for clarity through its poignant lyrics, highlighted by a chorus that emotionally resonates: “All I got is the love you gave me, So please come save me ’cause I’ll be waiting for ya.” The song’s vivid imagery of dusty air and starlit skies enhances its introspective mood, while its poetic verses convey a deep emotional yearning for love and redemption.

“Through The Darkness” opens with a strong plea to shake off complacency, signaling the beginning of a profound journey of self-discovery. Its verses explore the inner turmoil and the relentless pursuit of clarity amidst life’s uncertainties. Lines such as “Come, save my soul” echo with raw vulnerability, expressing a heartfelt plea for liberation from self-imposed challenges.

“Worst Enemy” is an introspective anthem following a journey of self-discovery. Throughout the track, there’s a poignant recognition of personal struggles and self-sabotage, vividly captured in lines like “Well I’m my own worst enemy” and “When what you want’s not what you need.”

Overall, each song of the album provides a unique perspective on personal growth, inner struggles, and the pursuit of truth and authenticity, making them resonate deeply with listeners seeking meaningful and thought-provoking music.

The album release concert, with special guest Tia Brazda, will take place on Saturday, June 22, at 8:30 pm, at the Burdock Music Hall, 1184 Bloor St. West, Toronto, ON. Tickets are $20, and available here.
