Jackson Hollow

Jackson Hollow

The award-winning BC-based bluegrass group Jackson Hollow recently shared their single, “Look Who’s Talking Now,” back in May. The track comes as the third offering from the bluegrass quartet’s upcoming debut album. Since then, they have shared “Put Yourself In My Place.”

Tianna Lefebvre, the lead vocalist of Jackson Hollow, says of “Looking Who’s Talking Now,”

“As a group, we are drawn to classic country elements and embrace a sound that is not typically mainstream. When we first heard this, we connected with it immediately and felt that we could capture it with truth and feeling.”

Chase The Bear

Chase The Bear

One title that could be put on Vancouver’s Chase the Bear, in the coolest way possible, is “family band.” They are, in their own words, “a band of blood brothers, childhood friends, and musical prodigies.” That’s just scratching the surface, though. Their recent release, “Five More Minutes” follows “Underwater,” from their upcoming album, Honey.

Ophelia Falling

Ophelia Falling

Canadian symphonic metal rockers Ophelia Falling are “Destroyed in Delight” with the release of their haunting new single and symbolic cinematic video.

The title song from the Vancouver-based festival-favourite band’s recent full-length album. The track trades in themes of addiction, broken promises, domestic disputes, and violence, vocalist Chelsea Rose reveals.

Fake Shark

Acclaimed Vancouver alt-rock outfit Fake Shark unveils a vivid house of horrors with the release of the official music video for “Paranoid.” Directed by Brandon Fletcher, the psychedelic thriller draws on the group’s love of all things horror. An eerie ambiance is set as the glow of neon lights slowly reveals characters haunting in the shadows, leading to a black-and-white maze of paranoid thoughts.

“The video for Paranoid is the rare situation where the video actually makes the song even better and more relevant to its topic,” shares lead singer Kevvy Maher. “I had been wanting to work with Brandon Fletcher for a while, and when we finally met, we instantly struck up a conversation about 70s Italian horror movies, and right then I knew it’d be our video that’s the most “me”. I love this video.”

ourglasszoo

Vancouver-based band, OurGlassZoo blends electronic rock with a few drops of synth-pop, and the result is perfection.
