“Cull The Herd” is Animal Tonic at full force — a gritty purge anthem that draws a hard line between truth and hypocrisy, and refuses to stay quiet about it
Blunt, fearless, and unwilling to tolerate the noise, Animal Tonic return with “Cull The Herd,” a searing new single that draws a hard line between truth and hypocrisy. Following closely on the heels of “Without Ever Saying His Name,” the track captures a band creating in real time — reacting to the world around them with urgency, grit, and zero hesitation. “Cull The Herd” isn’t about violence; it’s a purge anthem. A declaration that the threshold for bullshit has been reached.
Made up of Stella Panacci (Church of Trees, Ladybird, Kat Rocket), Adam Loback (Hellbound, A Darker Day, HIGHFRONT), and Jadon Bailey (A Darker Day, CIRCUIT), Animal Tonic fuse swamp rock and stoner rock into something raw and unfiltered. There are shades of Ozzy Osbourne, Queens of the Stone Age, and Lucinda Williams in their DNA — but the chemistry between the three creates a sound that feels entirely their own. Three distinct voices intertwine in gritty, instinctive harmony, grounded by Bailey’s almost lyrical drumming style.
Formed in 2024 after a chance introduction sparked an immediate songwriting connection between Panacci and Loback, Animal Tonic quickly evolved from collaboration to full-fledged band. With seven new songs already written and recorded — and working alongside Tim Bovaconti on mixing and co-production — the trio are laying the foundation for their 2026 debut album. If “Cull The Herd” is any indication, Animal Tonic aren’t here to play it safe. They’re here to cut through the noise.
