Since their inception in 2015, Alberta’s Boneyard has been a force to be reckoned with. Their 2020 album, Oathbreaker catapulted them into the music scene spotlight, catching the eye of Italy’s WormHoleDeath Records. This partnership expanded their reach to markets including Japan. The album, mastered by Grammy-nominated and Juno-winning engineer Maor Appelbaum (known for his work with Faith No More, Annihilator, and Dokken) in Los Angeles, produced hit singles and videos for tracks like “Fates Warning,” “Oathbreaker,” “Born Again,” and “Evil Ways.”
Building on the momentum of their debut, Boneyard is now working on their sophomore release at Edmonton’s Rattleshock Studios. This new album will feature the latest lineup additions: bassist Lezzy Osbourne and guitarist Garhardt (Gary Ursulak), who joined Pamtera and Jefftimus post-Oathbreaker. We caught up with Boneyard to discuss their journey, the upcoming album, and what fans can expect next.
The band is set to play Decimate Metalfest this June, so you don’t want to miss out!
