Danielle Schroeder is a singer-songwriter based in Vancouver, Canada. Her music comes from deep within her heart and grew out of her work as a counsellor supporting people living with cancer and those at the end of life. Being with those facing their own mortality offered her a window into some of the deepest realities of being human, and inspired her to write music as a way to process and express all that she witnessed. Her music has continued to evolve over the years through the contours of womanhood and motherhood.
“Undertow” is the second single being released on April 23rd from Danielle’s newest album Between Two Worlds coming out June 21st.
“Undertow” is an antidote to the tension and division in our world today that can so easily close us down and pull us apart. When you listen to Undertow you are carried away by the rich and expansive soundscape that transports you into deeper territories of the heart and at the same time guides you to open your mind to new possibilities.
“It is a song about learning the art of letting go-letting go in the midst of two thoughts, two feelings, two beliefs, even two worlds.”
