Last night was a country hoedown at MTelus with Warren Zeiders playing the last date of his Canadian tour!
Nashville singer-songwriter Austin Williams opened the evening with an intimate set that blended heartfelt lyrics with soulful melodies that resonated long after he stepped offstage. Another strong moment of his set was his Nickelback “Rockstar” cover that had the whole audience screaming along!
Shortly after 9pm, Warren Zeiders and his band walked onstage to a thunder of applause! MTelus was packed to the brim for this sold-out show, a true testament to the love of country music in Montreal. Opening with the catchy “Up to no good”, Zeiders set the tone for the night with his high energy and contagious smile. Throughout the night, Zeiders showcased his versatility as an artist, effortlessly transitioning from foot-stomping anthems like “Never Look Back” to poignant ballads such as “Pretty Little Poison.” The intimate setting of MTelus allowed Zeiders to connect with his audience on a personal level, creating a sense of camaraderie that filled the venue with warmth and energy (until the show had to be paused because of a drunken fight on the floor, that is!).
His performance was a masterclass in storytelling, each song weaving a narrative that resonated with the audience. Backed by a talented band that perfectly complemented his sound, Zeiders delivered a flawless performance that left no doubt as to why he’s considered one of country music’s rising stars. His passion for his craft was palpable, shining through in every note and chord. Last night was a great reunion between Warren and his Montreal fans, who were left wanting more after his LASSO set last summer and now got what they asked for!
