Celeigh Cardinal Bares Raw Honesty On “Just Let Me Lie To You”
“This song was written about a relationship I was in a few years ago. I was in love with someone who didn’t love me, and I was trying desperately to distract myself from them by dating.”
Shares award-winning artist Celeigh Cardinal about her new single “Just Let Me Lie to You.” Celeigh had started dating and was honest with the person that she just wasn’t feeling the same way that he was.
“He wanted me to keep trying, with the hope that I would fall in love, and I couldn’t keep it up for very long. I knew that if I just lied to him about my feelings, he would have been happy. But I would have been miserable.”
The infectious new tune boasts an irresistible groove that will get you dancing.
“Just Let Me Lie to You” was one of the first songs recorded for Celeigh’s forthcoming album, Boundless Possibilities, which is due out on June 21st. The album, co-produced with James Bunton (Donovan Woods, Vivek Shraya, David Myles) will also include the lead single “Light of the Moon” and two additional songs recently released exclusively on Bandcamp: “How I Learned To Live Alone” and “Don’t Waste Your Love On Me.”
