A New Week Means Another Zach’s Picks Of The Week
Welcome back to another exciting Music Monday here on our website. The place in my opinion, where you’re gonna find the best new music around. It’s Canadian Beats and these are Zach’s Picks Of The Week! These are gonna be my top five recommendations of articles from this website, that were posted this week. However, I will be giving you one bonus recommendation, which is going to feature an artist from our Canadian Beats Passport coverage. Making them our only international artist featured this week. You’ll get a chance to see a clip from each of the songs coming up in the video post below us. You will be able to go through the links to each of these articles in this post right here. So without further ado, let’s get right into the music because it is Music Monday!
Five
Kicking off our list is Mississauga-based Jazz musician/vocalist Heather Christine. She dazzles the crowd with her latest single, “Walking With You” which is about the timeless romance of being with your partner. This original new single is available across all streaming platforms and takes inspiration from vocal legends like Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Judy Garland. Head over to our article where we had an interview with Heather here.
Four
Time to introduce the incredibly talented vocalist who’s wasting no time diving into the next chapter of her musical journey, with the release of “No Evil”. It’s JUNO-nominated artist Shawnee Kish and her latest single is available everywhere right now. This will be her second single from the upcoming sophomore EP, Revolution. We can expect that record to be released later this year, but “No Evil” is an honest reflection on the current state of the world. It was co-written by 7x JUNO Award winner Serena Ryder and produced by Serena Ryder and Jerrod Bettis. Check out “No Evil” in our article here.
Three
In this week’s final top three, we have Vancouver-based rock band Odds joining us. Their long-awaited seventh studio album, Crash The Time Machine is out now and available everywhere. It’s been described as a new exciting direction compared to their dark iconic signature that fans have been captivated by for years. Take a listen to the new album when you check out our album review here.
Two
Making his way back into our list end this weekend number two. It’s Canadian pop artist Kyle Richardson, who’s celebrating his newest single, “Anything”. it was a song written by Richardson, but produced by Grammy-nominated producer, Jeff Dawson. It’s available now across all streaming platforms and is accompanied by a new video. Check it out in our post where we interview Kyle and he recommends some great new music to you, here.
BONUS: Canadian Beats Passport
Now it’s time to introduce you to this week’s Canadian Beats Passport, international artist featured on our show. All the way from Louisville in the state of Kentucky, alternative rockers Feral Vices have revealed their dark, driving, metallic anthem, “Black As The Sea”. It chronicles a relationship that’s become soul-sucking, no matter how much the narrator also wishes he could stay. The new single is available across all streaming platforms and in our article, where you can also learn more about this incredible American band and hear “Black As The Sea.” Check it out here.
One
Now it’s time for my final recommendation and article that I’d like to feature for you lovely readers. Another heavy crew for you is going to be the four-piece Hamilton rockers, Dammit Goldie. They’ve unveiled their new single, “Bad Human” across every streaming service imaginable. The band still refuses to be constrained by genre walls, only by the bounds of their own creativity. Excellently proven in some of their latest work, they push the boundaries of alternative rock, metal, and Post-Hardcore. Go ahead and listen in our article for the new single “Bad Human”, my number one choice by Dammit Goldie, here.
Boom, those are gonna be my choices for this week’s episode. So I hope you enjoy at least one if not all of my choices this week. There is so much more to explore just on our website besides these six articles, so go and explore for yourself. I will of course be back next week with a brand new list of the newest music. So be sure to tell your friends and tune in next time to see what wacky stuff happens. Thank you so much for watching and reading and I hope you have an amazing week coming up.
