Lemon Cash – Brothers Cory and Jeff Papineau – Sign New Recording Deal with Sakamoto Music And Release “Breakup Song”

Lemon Cash – the exciting and emerging country duo, consisting of Ottawa brothers Cory and Jeff Papineau – have released their brand new single “Breakup Song.” The song, written by Lemon Cash, alongside fellow country artist Wes Mack and veteran lyricist/producer/musician Dan Swinimer, is the first release under their new recording contract with Sakamoto Music, distributed by Warner Music Canada.

“Breakup Song” captures the essence of a relationship ending before the song could be written. It’s a playful, propulsive, and triumphant-yet-heartbreaking anthem that showcases Lemon Cash’s songwriting prowess, infectious energy, and unique blend of heartfelt storytelling and captivating melodies.

“We owe it all to the Sakamoto team for believing in us and giving us this huge opportunity!” says Lemon Cash. “We’ve been working with them for the past couple of years and have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for them.  We know our music is in good hands and can hardly wait to get more music out!”

“Brothers Cory and Jeff have it all when it comes to songwriting, performing, and bringing that certain energy that ignites audiences. We can’t wait to share their music with country fans everywhere,” says Joelle May, Director of Promotions & Artist Services at Sakamoto Music.

Lemon Cash will perform at the Renfrew Musical Festival (in Renfrew, ON) on July 15, Stevensville Ram Rodeo (in Stevensville, ON) on August 5, and the Richmond Fair (in Richmond, ON) on September 16. Visit www.lemoncashmusic.com as more dates continue to be announced.
