Find out which articles from Canadian Beats Media that Zach Coopz wants you to check out!
Who’s ready for some brand new Canadian music on another music Monday ?! Well, that’s great because this is Zach’s Picks Of The Week, and I have brought you my top five from our website this week. That is always full of the best new up-and-coming Canadian music. But I will feature a clip from these recommendations in my video below. However, you can also find the link to these articles in this post. But as I said before, our website is where you can find excellent daily content. So follow us on all social networking platforms and our official website. Now let’s get into our brand-new music for you right here.
Five
This week’s list will take us to the nation’s capital, with a group named Feed After Midnite. If you ask me, it sounds like a Gremlins reference in their name. But they are here with their debut EP, The Hunger, available across all streaming platforms now. An exciting new video accompanies this EP’s releases for their song, “False Awakening,” which you can find in our article. If you are a fan of groups like Deftones, Avenged Sevenfold, and In Flames, check out our Five Questions With segment featuring Feed After Midnite to learn more about this new Ontario-based group here.
Four
Now we are moving on to find you some new music, but we don’t have to go very far. Sudbury-based rock band Good Effort has recently unveiled their single, “Found.” It’s available across all streaming platforms, and the song takes you on a musical journey, from feeling lost to feeling an overwhelming sense of purpose. The track lyrically and musically takes the listener through a desert into a beautiful oasis. You can hear the new single in our Five Questions With segment featuring Good Effort here.
Three
Making our way into the top three this week will be Toronto-based indie rock outfit Housewife. They have delivered the brand new single, “Fuck Around Phase,” via Hazel Street Records/The Orchard. The track is the first taste of Housewife’s more mature and intentionally genre-blending sound. You better keep an eye out for more from Housewife soon, but until then, you can listen to her new single and watch the video here.
Two
Next up in our new incredible Canadian music list, I’ll introduce an up-and-coming artist out of Calgary. New on the scene, it’s NSF Breezy, and he’s hoping to put his hometown and team on the map. His latest single, “Day N Nite,” is available across all streaming platforms and can be heard in our article. Through his lyrics, he allows all the listeners to learn about his life. Every win or loss he’s experienced throughout his life is shown on stage and in his music for the world to hear. However, you can also learn more about Breezy in the quick Five Questions With segment we had with him here.
One
Now it’s time to introduce my top recommendation from our website for new and exciting Canadian music. It will be the latest from Calgary-based garage-rock duo Miesha and The Spanks. Their new punk-fueled, hand-clappin’ single is titled “Mom Jeans // Mom Genes.” You can find it across all streaming platforms, and the video is featured in our new article. This new song comes from their forthcoming full-length album, “Unconditional Love In Hi-Fi,” which came out via Mint Records on April 14, 2023. You can check out the new track here.
That will wrap up all my top picks from Canadian Beats Media this week. I hope you did enjoy some or all of my choices in Zach’s Picks of the Week. Also, go and explore the rest of our website and see everybody else that wasn’t featured because they are all worth a listen. Trust me. We are professionals over here at Canadian Beats Media. Thank you for tuning in for this week’s episode. I hope you bring some of your friends around next time because I will bring you the best new Canadian music. You know that’s what we do around here, but until next time. PEACE, LOVE, AND GOOD MUSIC, EVERYONE!!
