Tonight, Swedish pop sensation Tove Lo brought her Dirt Femme Tour to a sold-out MTelus!
The evening opened with US singer Slayyyter, and slay the stage she did. With heavy beats and lyrics on partying and drugs, Catherine Slayter annihilated the stage and got the crowd jumping up and down non-stop. We can’t wait for Slayyyter to come back for a headline set in Montreal, as it will no doubt be the party of a century.
Shortly after 9pm, Tove Lo emerged from a stage of clouds, dressed in a gold armor and looking like a goddess. Things started in high gear with Pineapple Slice, Attention Whore and Cool Girl. The setlist was full of cult classics like Glad He’s Gone, disco tits, and of course the iconic Talking Body and Habits (Stay High). Unlike the last time we caught her at MTelus, there were no broken ankles or crutches in sight, leaving the singer to dance around and command the stage like no other. And just like during her set at Osheaga this summer, the energy and positive vibes were at an all-time high. This was our third time covering Tove Lo, and it just gets better every time. At this point, we’re already counting down the days until her next visit to Montreal!
