Chris Ryan
Chris Ryan is an Americana-Country artist from Newfoundland. Chris was an East semi-finalist with the 2018 SiriusXM – Canadian Country Music Association ” Top of the Country” project and has released a slew of singles, including “Less of a Stranger,” “I Ain’t Mad,” and “Slow Down,” and his latest release, “Let’s See What This Thing Can Do.”

Rachel Cousins

Justin Fancy
Canadian Country Recording Artist Justin Fancy’s latest single, “Laid Back Kinda Night,” is an upbeat, toe-tapping earworm that is sure to have fans singing along after the first listen.
Justin shares,
“The song is about living in the moment, and not caring about what tomorrow brings”, says Fancy, who has quickly proven himself as a masterful songwriter with a unique storytelling ability comparable to such classic country artists as Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings. “The song was inspired by a perfect summer night after spending the day on my boat earlier this summer. From day to night, it was just so carefree, and I just left the whole world behind. The next day I picked up the guitar and the song was born.”

Summer Bennett
Newfoundland-based singer-songwriter Summer Bennett won the 2021 Newfound Talent Contest (MusicNL). She unveiled her debut single, “Carsick,” in May. “Carsick” is the first of two singles from the prize package.
The inspiration came from a real experience when Summer felt pressure to fit into a group that she knew she didn’t belong in:
“writing music helped me through that tough time, and hopefully this song will connect with other people that have felt that way.” said Summer.

Jamal Tinkov
Newfoundland-based singer-songwriter Jamal Tinkov has unveiled his single, “Let’s Be Friends?!”
Jamal shares,
“I think the song is about longing for a simpler time. As I’ve grown older life seems to become more complicated and we lose touch with people that used to be very present in our lives. The track is an ode to those old buddies who you miss and just hoping they’re doing ok!
This song came relatively quickly one evening when I sat down with my guitar. I had the bulk of the guitar arrangement and lyrics within a couple of hours. I then took it to my producer Robert Kelly and we reworked some of the arrangement and he helped write a riff for the breaks and we had the bones of the song. From there we got the band to play on it and Robert worked his magic to the final result. A fun tidbit about this track is that the vocal that is used on the final version is actually the guide vocal used in the original demo. We did many different takes but we were never able to capture the vibe and feel of the original vocal track so we just ended up using that!”
