Day 5: June 20, 2022
with The Warning, The Trews & Stone Temple Pilots

Opening up Night 5 at the Iceberg Alley Performance Tent was the 3-piece rock band, The Warning, hailing from Mexico. This trio of sisters absolutely blew the packed crowd away with their high-energy performance. Guitarist, Daniela Villarreal, and drummer, Paulina Villarreal, shared powerful lead vocals over guitar solos and the heavy bass lines of bassist, Alejandra Villarreal. The band performed their hits from their 3 albums and surprised the crowd with their version of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” which gained them significant attention in 2014 and has gained over 23 million views on their youtube page.

Next up was Nova Scotia’s own, The Trews. These guys always put on a good show and know how to keep the crowd entertained. Performing all their hits like “Not Ready to Go”, “Poor old Broken Hearted Me”, and “Highway of Heroes”, the band also paid tribute to the late rock legend, Ronnie “The Hawk” Hawkins by playing his cover of Bo Diddley’s “Who do you love?”.

Topping off night 5 and taking the stage at the packed Iceberg Alley Performance Tent were the Stone Temple Pilots. Fans chanted “STP, STP” as the band took the stage. Frontman, Jeff Gutt, was all over the stage, working the crowd while belting out lyrics to “Plush”, and “Interstate Love Song”. Long-time fans were left satisfied, sweaty, and smiling after finally getting to see STP on the island.
