Who: Miss Emily, Land of Talk, Jesse Mac Cormack
Where: Place des Arts, Montreal QC
When: June 28th, 2019

With a more stable weather than the previous two days and the long weekend starting off, Montrealers were excited yesterday to see what would follow Charlotte Cardin’s epic show the previous night.

We started our evening over at one of the outdoor stages, watching Ontario singer-songwriter Miss Emily. Dressed in glitter from head to toe, Emily danced around the stage while impressing the crowd with her strong vocal performance.

We next made our way to the Club Soda to attend the exciting double feature show of Land of Talk and Jesse Mac Cormack. Led by Elizabeth Powell, Montreal indie rock band Land of Talk were first on stage. There was something quite fascinating about Powell, who smoothly alternated from dreamy indie vibes to heavy guitar riffs! Needless to say, the crowd was under her charm by the end of the set.

Next on stage was Montreal indie singer-songwriter-composer Jesse Mac Cormack. With his last album, “Now”, Jesse’s sounds took a more rock turn, which made for a very energetic performance, powered by heavy drums and great guitar riffs!
