Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hi everyone, we’re Shuffalo. We’re a pop-rock band based out of Calgary, Alberta.
Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.
Our writing is often sparked through emotional experiences and events. It could be as simple as an interaction with a stranger, or as complex as a dream. The experience typically gets written down in point form and later used for the inspiration or plot of a song.
Do you have any upcoming shows? For someone who has yet to see you live, how would you explain your live performance?
We have a live performance on CTV Saskatoon’s morning show! You can tune in online at 8:45 am. As for our “in-person” live shows, we love to feed off the crowd while keeping the energy high when it should be, and intimate when we feel like it’s the right time. We’re hoping to get back on the stage soon.
If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?
Stay On Me! It’s our latest release and we’re very proud of it.
Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/ artists?
Yukon Blonde, City and Colour, Close Talker, and Half Moon Run.
