Canadian music icon Ron Sexsmith dropped his latest record on April 17, 2020, called Hermitage.
Teaming up with producer Don Kerr, Sexsmith recorded nearly every instrument on Hermitage from the comfort of his own living room in Stratford, Ontario.
This is the singer-songwriter’s first full-length release since relocating from his long-time home of Toronto to the small city west of Kitchener.
Here is Sexsmith talking about the experience of recording from home:
“For about a week, the house was turned upside-down. The drums were up in this room, I was down in the other room playing piano, cables everywhere. And it was kind of like when the Stones set up in France, for Exile On Main St., except without all the debauchery.”
