Montreal, QC-based singer-songwriter, DJ, and radio host, Lesley Ann Foster aka L.A. Foster has released her new single, “Keep Faith”.

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
My name is Lesley Ann Foster aka L.A. Foster
Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta and based in Montreal for 14 years on and off living in Buenos Aires and spending a lot of time in Latin America.
I started my music career as a DJ and radio host and started singing playing in the Montreal music scene in 2012 which kick-started me starting my own project in 2014.
Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.
My music is an eclectic mix from all the places I’ve lived and music I’ve listened to. I initially would write music from lyrics, and then that grew to me using drum machines and finding melodies and chords on piano and writing from there. Now I work with my producer Stephen Ramsay – we just released an EP together – ‘All My Lost Chances Are Beautiful’. A lot of people have coined our sound as ‘Sad dance music’.
Do you have any upcoming shows? For someone who has yet to see you live, how would you explain your live performance?
I will be playing in Montreal Feb 1 – but the show isn’t announced yet …but a big show to announce soon. My live performance is energetic – I’m singing A LOT, playing synth and working with samples. I love engaging with the audience and try to pull everyone to the dance floor.
