One of our favourite Montreal festivals, M For Montreal, announced their 2019 lineup today! In addition to previously-announced acts Ada Lea, Odonis Odonis, Busty and The Bass, N0V3L and more, the festival will offer over 100 showcasing artists between November 20th and 23rd in multiple venues across the city!
The stellar lineup includes some very exciting picks: Toronto’s punk-psych trio Absolutely Free, Montreal francophone hip hop duo Tizzo, dream-pop/surf rockers Tallies, psych Japanese-inspired band TEKE:TEKE, rising Quebec hip hop sensations O.G.B. … we could go on forever! Here is the full line-up, which definitely has many promising talents for every taste:
Founded in 2006 by Sébastien Nasra (Avalanche Productions), in collaboration with the legendary British festival programmer Martin Elbourne (Glastonbury Festival, The Great Escape and co-founder along with Peter Gabriel of the WOMAD Festival), M for Montreal is much more than an annual event. “M” is a not-for-profit with an ambitious mission to showcase and promote emerging artists and open doors for them on international stages. Since 2006, M for Montreal has carved out an enviable reputation at the heart of Montréal’s cultural life, and now occupies an undeniable role as a catalyst for the local industry, both for emerging Canadian artists and those who are developing their careers at a global level.
