France’s KINGCROWN Shares New Video “Nothing” From New Album, Moonfall
French melodic heavy/power metal band KINGCROWN return with “Nothing“, the second single taken from their forthcoming album, Moonfall, due for release on September 4th, 2026. Supported by an official music video, the new track further develops the album’s conceptual direction while showcasing the band’s blend of melodic heavy metal and European power metal.
After introducing the time-travel narrative of “Lost Horizon“, KINGCROWN now turn their attention to another central theme of “Moonfall” with “Nothing“. Conceived as a direct sequel to “Utopia Metropolis” from “Nova Atlantis“, the song explores the growing influence of artificial intelligence and the gradual replacement of genuine human relationships by increasingly sophisticated machines designed to replicate emotion without truly experiencing it.
Rather than presenting technology as either salvation or threat, “Nothing” reflects on the emotional consequences of a society where authentic human connections become progressively less frequent. The lyrics question whether convenience and technological progress may ultimately come at the expense of empathy, identity, and personal relationships, continuing KINGCROWN‘s interest in combining speculative themes with contemporary social reflections.
Musically, “Nothing” combines driving guitar riffs, twin-guitar harmonies, melodic vocal lines, and a memorable chorus supported by a modern and balanced production. The track reinforces the band’s melodic identity without losing the energy and precision that have characterized its most recent releases.
Produced by KINGCROWN and mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio, the single reflects the consistency of a lineup that continues to refine its musical identity with each release. Alongside Jo Amore (vocals) and David Amore (drums), former members of Nightmare, the current lineup features Ced Legger and Bob Saliba on guitars and Sébastien Chabot on bass.
With “Nothing“, KINGCROWN continue to reveal new facets of Moonfall, an album built around interconnected stories exploring technological evolution, artificial intelligence and the future of humanity. While each song stands on its own, together they contribute to a broader narrative that continues to unfold ahead of the album’s release.
First of all, can you introduce yourself to our readers?
I am Jo Amore, singer of Kingcrown, since its creation in 2015. Please note, I am the oldest member of the band (laughs) !!
I have been in the metal circuit since 1979 as a drummer in my early days and then as a singer.
Tell us a bit about your recent outing.
“MOONFALL” is our fifth album—the fourth under the name KingCrown, following ‘Resilience’, which was released under the name ÖBLIVÏON—and, in my opinion, our most accomplished work. Not because we spent more time on it—quite the opposite—but because we learned how to harness each of our creative strengths. Certain tracks continue the legacy of our previous album, “Nova Atlantis”; it serves as a sequel, with some songs acting as a bridge between the two, in a way. I am very proud of the result on “MoonFall.”
Tell us about your creative process when you create music.
We all have our own home studios, which makes working easier. Generally, one of us—often Bob or Ced—comes in with a guitar riff and proposes a working title, often accompanied by a coherent structure. Then, I suggest a few vocal lines. David and Seb take part in writing the lyrics; they display amazing ease and inspiration.
Now that the music is out, what does the “road ahead” look like? Beyond the tours and videos, what is the goal you hope to achieve with this version?
By the way, the video for our third track is coming soon, ahead of the official release of ‘Moonfall’. We have high hopes for ‘MOONFALL’. In fact, early reviews are far more favorable than those for our previous album. We hope it will help build the KINGCROWN legacy and open up new horizons for us. We are currently working to establish new partnerships with organizations and agencies—such as Eagle Entertainment in Germany and Soundsrock Agency in Italy. We rely heavily on them and our managers to promote our emerging talent. We are a young band, even though we all have solid stage and studio experience—spanning several decades for some of us.
Every artist has a “moment of enlightenment” when things flicker. Looking back, what was the performance or step that made you realize: “Okay, this is what I had to do”?
The arrival of Ced, Seb, and Bob in the band during the 2020 pandemic confirmed to David and me that we were on the right track regarding our musical style—melodic power metal tinged with old-school heavy metal—and their talent provided the tools David and I had been waiting for. All three are excellent songwriters, vocalists, and, of course, guitarists. Naturally, this in no way diminishes the work and talent of the previous members, with whom we remain in touch.
There’s nothing like the energy of a live room. Where can fans catch you on stage next, and for someone seeing you for the first time, what should they expect from a KingCrown live experience?
We will perform ‘MOONFALL’ wherever possible. We’ll be appearing at several festivals in Italy in early 2027, and a number of dates will be confirmed very soon (c/f our socials networks). Kingcrown’s music is built for this—to unleash its full power on stage. The tracks on ‘MOONFALL’ prove it.
We have a blast performing, and we love sharing that enjoyment with the audience. We also enjoy meeting fans at the merch stand after the show for autographs or photos and having a beer together… It’s all part of our ‘job’.
