Die Spitz are hot on the heels from their 2025 album Something to Consume. This album has taken Die Spitz into new heights and elevated their status in the punk scene. On November 14th, 2025, Die Spitz headlined a sold out show at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto for an intimate night of unapologetic punk rock. This show only had Babe Haven for support.Â
Babe Haven is a high energy queer punk band from North Carolina. Their music is loud, fast and a lot of fun. Being a little more on the heavy side of punk rock, Babe Haven dances the line between punk and hardcore in a way that’s remarkably accessible and catchy. Babe Haven is a band that wears their principles on their sleeve. The vocalist in between songs would talk about the state of America and their disdain for being cat called. Babe Haven is a band that has values that are clearly stated and create a safe space for fans from a diverse background and we love to see it. In the short time Babe Haven has been active, they have been steadily putting out music every year. Their setlist was a nice collection of songs throughout their discography. I reckon in the coming years Babe Haven will grow and pick up momentum. I highly recommend you check them out. Their stage presence and performance are an absolute blast.
Die Spitz hit the stage around 10:15 PM and the crowd was full of anticipation. Even though Die Spitz is a young band, their sound is very well crafted and their musical direction is clear. What I love about Die Spitz is their sound mixes various alternative genres into one singular sound. Drawing elements from punk, metal, hardcore and grunge, Die Spitz has something for everyone and they do it so well. The setlist consisted mostly of songs from Something to Consume and Teeth. These songs are a journey, ranging from heavy chaos to softer power ballads. The setlist packed a lot of variety and it really helped keep things fresh and energetic. Touring with Babe Haven was an excellent choice, as Die Spitz is vocal about their values and activist leanings. It really is a breath of fresh air and so inspiring so see these young bands stand for something. If you are a fan of punk, I couldn’t recommend them enough. You won’t regret it.Â
Both Die Spitz and Babe Haven are incredible up and coming bands that deserve your attention and support. It’s so apparent to me that the future of punk rock is happening right now and the future is femme. With the world in chaos and dismay, it’s so inspiring to see the young bands stand for something while making music that will go down in the genre’s history. This tour has only two bands and nearly every show is sold out. These bands rock and their musical messages are resonating loudly. Check out both these bands and give them your support, they truly deserve it.
