Canada’s Teen Jam Spotlights the Next Generation of Musical Superstars in Toronto Showcase
The highly anticipated Canada’s Teen Jam is bringing together a network of the most talented teen musicians from this country for an unforgettable showcase. Finalists will take the stage at the iconic TD Music Hall in Toronto on February 27, 2025, performing original songs and vying for top honors, cash prizes, and invaluable industry exposure. Renowned live music producer Mark Higgins, the visionary founder of Canada & America’s Teen Jam and Big Music Fest—a festival that has hosted legends like Aerosmith, Bryan Adams, Soundgarden, The Tragically Hip, and ZZ Top—shared his enthusiasm for the initiative:

Mark Higgins here Founder and co-producer of Canada’s Teen Jam alongside my daughter host and co-producer!
What inspired you to create Canada’s Teen Jam, and how does it differ from other music competitions for young artists?
Being a live producer of music for the past 25 years ( Aerosmith Soundgarden Bryan Adams Tragically Hip ZZ Top and many other A-Listers, I saw the decline in options for new artists about a decade ago and when Covid hit it was all but certain that Teens and Teen artists would be cast aside!
Why is it important to provide young musicians with a platform like this, and what impact do you hope it has on their careers?
Canada’s Teen Jam is unique to the industry as it only accepts gifted teens as finalists! It is our belief that in the Teen years artists find their sound and begin to hone their natural talents!
In your experience, what are some of the biggest challenges teen musicians face when trying to break into the industry, and how does this festival help overcome them?
When Teen Artists perform in high-level settings such as what we provide: Concert Stages, Iconic Venues mentoring, and branding it gives them a great sense of worth, and the confidence they will need to move forward! Brand awareness is the single most important ingredient for gifted Teen Artists to become Superstars! Canada’s Teen Jam marketing strategy is granular and with our Americas Teen Jam association we are able to platform our Finalists internationally!
TD Music Hall is an iconic venue for this showcase. What makes performing on this stage a game-changing experience for the finalists?
TD Music Hall has an outstanding reputation for 5-star concerts as well as excellent production and staff making it an overwhelming experience for the Finalists their families and their developing fan base!
