Tonight, US alt-rock band Wallows rocked a packed Place Bell!
The evening opened with Benee, a New Zealand singer-songwriter that quickly caught the hearts of the crowd and got the energy up to her unpredictable hooks and whimsical lyrical twists.
Up next, Wallows arrived onstage to a thunder of screams from the (mostly female) audience. The trio is no stranger to Montreal, with their last visit being at Osheaga’s main stage last year! Actor-turned-singer Dylan Minnette had the crowd in the palm of his hand from the opening notes of Do Not Wait, and kept it up all the way through closing megabit Are You Bored Yet?. The connection between the band and the fans was palpable, especially when they crossed the crowd to go do an intimate acoustic set from the B-stage.
All in all, the concert was a great night of light and fun rock vibes, that left everyone in a state of euphoria! Wallows will be playing Toronto’s Budweiser Stage on Friday, before heading back to the US and then Europe. For tickets and more info, visit the band’s website.
