The Washboard Union’s music video for “Band On Her T-Shirt” has just dropped and whatever can go wrong does in it
On July 5, JUNO and 9X CCMA Award-winning country band, The Washboard Union, released the music video for their hot new radio single “Band On Her T-Shirt.” The Washboard Union, composed of step-brothers Aaron Grain, Chris Duncombe, and their best friend David Roberts, have carved their place as one of Canada’s top country bands. This tune and video further cement that.
The music video finds the band spending their day performing and working in-line at a T-Shirt factory as things go increasingly wrong. Directed by Roman Zugarazo and co-produced by The Washboard Union, the video was recorded at the True North Screen Printing T-Shirt Factory in Vancouver, BC. The location holds a unique significance to the band as it is owned by their lifelong friend and has been producing all of their merchandise since the start of their career.
Chris Duncombe shares,
“This video is a perfect example of why musicians should stick to playing music. We should have been fired an hour into our first shift working in the T-shirt factory. The idea for this video came from the band and was so fun to shoot for “Band On Her T-Shirt.””
About the single “Band On Her T-Shirt” … the track is a carefree summertime country anthem and the #1 most-added song at Canadian country radio on its first few weeks of release. It’s also the first song from their extensive catalogue to be taken to Australian country radio.
