On Tuesday night, Snoop Dogg hit Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, for the last date of his Cali To Canada Tour. He delivered a night filled with West Coast hip-hop nostalgia.
British Columbian rapper Merkules opened the show and added a distinct local flavour, energizing the crowd with his raw lyricism and powerful stage presence. He brought his parents and wife to the stage to celebrate performing in his hometown with Snoop.
DJ Quik followed, bringing his signature sound and on-stage antics, seamlessly blending old school hits with contemporary vibes.
Warren G with his smooth G-funk beats and iconic tracks like “Regulate” was the last opener.
When Snoop Dogg finally rolled out onto the stage in a vintage convertible surrounded by smoke, the arena erupted in cheers. Dressed in a black and white Snoop Dogg jumpsuit, joint in hand, his laid-back demeanor and effortless flow captivated the audience as he performed a mix of classic hits like “Gin and Juice”, “In California” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot,”. The production was top-notch, with vibrant visuals enhancing the experience. Snoop’s interaction with the crowd was a highlight, his charisma making the large venue feel intimate. The night was a celebration of hip-hop culture that most fans won’t forget.
