Halifax alt-pop duo Pillow Fite hosted a songwriters circle titled “Crying at the Carleton” on Thursday, June 6th, at The Carleton in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The event featured performances by Pillow Fite, along with local singer-songwriters Nicole Ariana and Terra Spencer.
Through their songs, they took turns sharing personal stories on themes like family and friends and performing pieces that reflect their own identities. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the building as they sang about subjects such as love, following your dreams, and letting your child venture into the world on their own.
The evening was a powerful testament to the emotive and expressive power of music.
