Labrador-based Indigenous folk-rock quartet SILVER WOLF BAND releases “Willows and Sand” – a brand new single that is available to stream and buy now.
Diving into the fragility of life and the enduring continuity of family and connectedness of nature throughout tragedy, “Willows and Sand” weaves a narrative of a small town family trying to find their footing in the aftermath of a tragedy — a task that becomes increasingly difficult as they watch the world around them move on. Providing vivid imagery of landscapes — where days transition into night as the sun rises over the ocean and sets over the lake — “Willows and Sand” invites listeners to embrace quiet moments of strength. Throughout, the quartet composed of Jamie Jackman (guitar/vocals), Matthew Barrett (Keys/vocals), Justin Jackman (drums/percussion), and Bon Pardy (bass/vocals) highlights the beauty of resilience through life’s unexpected and inevitable challenges.

The release of “Willows and Sand” comes on the heels of an incredible tour of Northern Labrador this March that saw the band perform in five Nunatsiavut communities as well as in Natuashish.
This latest single was recorded and produced in St. John’s, NL by Robert Kelly at Bond Street Studios and was mastered by Toronto’s Noah Mintz at Lacquer Channel Mastering. The track is Silver Wolf Band’s latest release since their 2022 album There’s No Time.
