Skydiggers share video for “Je t’aime toujours, mon amour”

A Skydiggers Christmas Tour Kicks Off December 14 in Orillia, ON

Toronto’s Skydiggers share their brand new video for “Je t’aime toujours, mon amour.”

This tune was written after the umpteenth lockdown in Toronto,” shares Josh Finlayson. “It started as a folky finger-picking tune, and we changed it to more of a swing feel, attempting to feel somewhere between Django Reinhardt and the Mills Brothers.”

“This was the last song recorded for the album,” shares Andy Maize. “When Josh first sang, ‘Don’t look to me for the answer, I don’t know nuthin’, anymore’, I knew we had our closer.”

The two founding members returned to Blue Rodeo’s Woodshed Studio (where the song was recorded with Tim Vesely) to create a timeless video with director Mitch Fillion.

Tomorrow, they’ll begin the final run of A Skydiggers Christmas tour dates in Orillia, followed by two nearly sold-out shows in Meaford (Dec 15) and Paris (Dec 16)culminating with their annual Toronto show on December 22 at The Danforth Music Hall.
